Emerson Schreiner  is a painter and sand sculptor raised in west Michigan and currently based in Galveston, Texas. He received his BFA in Art and Design from the University of Michigan in 2012, and has since then spent as much of his time as possible traveling and making art. His paintings play with the boundaries of realism and abstraction, the question of how far one side of that spectrum can be pushed without losing track of the other, being of perennial interest to him. Emerson is available for commissions, and also runs the Galveston branch of Sandy Feet Sandcastle Services, where he offers sandcastle lessons and custom sand sculptures.
