Oil Paintings
2014 - 2015
Coming off from my watercolor kick, I was curious if I could make oil paints behave like watercolors. Painted almost entirely in Payne's Grey, I started by trying to create values with translucency rather than by adding white. By the end of the series, Ivory Black and Titanium White had started to sneak in, but by then I had developed the watery, foggy style that persisted through the series.
